Maryland countered with standouts Ed Fullerton and Jack Scarbath and its own All-America back, Ed Modzelewski, who finished as the game's "Most Outstanding" player.
Fullerton was in on two scores on the day, one an interception return and the other a pass completion, while Scarbath rushed for a TD as the Terps dominated the Vols from beginning to end.
